WHCA June 2022 Meeting (start time: 7:30pm)

The Waverly Hills Civic Association will hold its annual meeting on June 8, at 7:30 pm via Zoom (Meeting ID: 825 6516 0047; Passcode: 22207).  At this meeting, we will elect our Executive Board.

Joining the Executive Board is a great opportunity to serve the community and become involved in neighborhood activities and events. In recent years, the Civic Association has advocated for stormwater-capacity improvements to address the repeated flooding in our neighborhood, has secured funding to add sidewalks to neighborhood streets that lacked them, and has organized community events such as Halloween parades at Woodstock Park and Selfies with Santa at Glebe Elementary School.

Any member of the Civic Association can run for the Executive Board.  Membership is just $10 per year or $50 for life, and you can join here.

Anyone is welcome to run for any position. We are actively seeking candidates for the following offices: Vice President for Membership and Internal Affairs, Historian, Delegate to the Arlington County Civic Federation, and Alternate Delegate to the Arlington County Civic Federation.  If you are interested in running for office, the deadline to declare your candidacy is May 29. But if the only candidates for a position as of that date have either served at least three consecutive terms in that position or are running for two or more offices, then anyone can declare their candidacy for that position at the June 8 meeting itself.
